Trading successfully can set you free in so many ways, but at the same time can and often does imprison the amateur into, internal looped conversations of failure. These internal conversations often peak before, during and after the placing of trades.

The most damaging times are before and during trading activity. It is during these times that the conversations can result in delay, bad execution or even not trading at all.
These inner conversations can best be understood by thinking of them as mental “noise” an internal babbling voice that is running through an endless loop of questioning and then questioning the question. The result is trading confusion on a grand scale.

The successful trader also has inner conversations but these are very different to that of the unsuccessful trader. I will not go into the differences because there is no need to; this is one of those things that you simply KNOW if the conversations are positive or negative.
What I will provide you with is a highly effective tool to “train” the inner conversation to your liking and ultimately to your benefit.

Many will over look the power of what I am about to share with you because it is free and takes such little effort to carry out (there is a little pain involved) the method uses a very “human” instinct. That instinct is to move away from pain and towards pleasure.
There is a small amount of physical pain involved, but I can assure you that it is pain that has the potential to place real personal and transformational power directly under your control.
And whilst we are on the subject here, I can tell you that this method can be used to stop smoking, lose weight, in fact to adjust, create or improve just about any aspect of your life.

Method
First grab yourself a normal elastic / rubber band. Next place the band around your wrist ( a loose fitting one is best)
Now for a test run pull the band away from your inners wrist by about 6 inches and let it go. If you did that correctly you will now be wincing a little from the pain.

Now let’s explain the process.
Regardless of what you want to change in your life whether that be turning off inner negative conversations, stopping smoking or even weight loss the process is the same.
For ease of explanation I will use smoking as an example as this is a more “timed” event to a smoker actually taking each cigarette.
The first thing to remember here is that you only “twang” the band AFTER the event. This may seem back to front, but I can assure you that this is the most effective method.

So….The cigarette is smoked as normal, when finished the band is stretched and let go. Do not be half hearted about this, make sure it “hurts” This is now repeated after each cigarette. What is actually happing at a subconscious level is that “smoking” is being associated with “pain” Do not consider time here in terms of “how long will this take” because there is an “exact” time when you will know this is starting to work.
That time will be when you “suddenly” look at your wrist and wonder “where the heck did the band go?” The band will have “subconsciously” been removed without you being aware of it. Smile to yourself with the full knowledge that this is working for you and go get a nice new band to continue the process. Sooner than you think the habit that you want to change will be gone from your mind.

From the above explanation you should now be able to work out how to turn off negative internal conversations in fact any personal aspect of life that you want to change.
